The Director Ceylinco Property Development & Ceylinco Express Remittance Mr Viraj Peiris, Deputy Chaiman International Property Development, Mr. Ranga Gunawardene, CEO Ceylinco Express, Mr. Hiran De Silva & Country Manager Ceylinco Fastcash, Ms.Harshani Perera were also present.

Dr. Rodney Arambewela was feted by the Sri Lankan and the wider Australian community on the occasion of his 20 years of service as the Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in Victoria. The Sri Lanka High Commissioner, H. E. Mr.. Balapatabendi PC together with representatives of the Victorian Consular Corp, Senior Government Officials of the Victorian Government, Leaders of the Ethnic organisations, Business Leaders, University academics and the members of the Sri Lankan community join together to recognise the contribution made to the Sri Lankan community and the wider Australian community by Dr. Rodney Arambewela in his role as the Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in Victoria

A fund-raising dinner dance in aid of veteran Sri Lankan athlete Rohan Pradeep Kumara was held on Friday, 24th August at Hampton Park- Victoria with the participation of 300 plus schoolmates and well-wishers. The event, which was a great success, was organized by the newly formed ?Society for People in Need' presided by Mr. Shantha Subasinghe.
The Champion Gold Medallist and Olympic runner was honoured and offered with a financial gift. Rohan is in Melbourne at the moment getting medical treatment. He has already been selected to compete in Olympic Games 2008.
